Repair Sharks started Apple iPod repairs back in 2006. We were originally known as a mail-order only company called the iPod Repair Guys. Since then we have re-branded and expanded our focus to all major handheld devices, tablets, notebooks, and gaming systems.

We still service tons of iPods and still work on even the original iPod 1 that came with firewire. More popular today are what is named the iPod Classic. Whether you need a new battery, headphone jack, motherboard, or LCD we can help. Our expert technicians can replace the needed components to get you back up and running again.

Services vary depending on the generation iPod you have and the parts that are available. Some parts are becoming scarce but we do still carry a variety of repair components for the iPods.

Hi, I have a perfectly working iPod classic 120gb in space gray that I want to change the faceplate to the black one instead. I was wondering if you can change the click button to be black to match also without having to buy the whole clickwheel assembly? And can you quote me for this request?

    Model A1238

    Thanks so much!

Sorry for the late reply, yes we can certainly help. We are fixing iPods regularly still including Video, Classic, and earlier models. What model iPhones do you have and what are the issues? Give us a call to discuss if you are still in the market to fix these Apple devices. Sincerely, Repair Sharks

I have an IPOD Classic I would like repaired. It seems to be getting a bit of power just to let me know the battery is attempting to power up (the battery icon on the screen). Hopefully without losing the music/books/podcasts on it. Please let me know what to do next and approximately what it might cost including just a battery replacement and the worst case scenario. Thank you. Tom Rieschick

Hello we have a Nano ipod thats 7th or 8th gen. When I turn it on it will play for about 30 seconds and then shut off for about 10-15 seconds, and then come back on for about 30 seconds, and back and forth like this—Do you know if there is any hope to find out what’s wrong and fix it? Thank you!

Hello! I have 2 potential repairs and wanted to know if you can help.

One is an iPod classic (80GB, I think it’s 6th generation) that I’ve previously had modified to use a memory card. This one is ok except the hold switch lately has been wonky and locks the iPod even though it’s not on hold. Do you have the piece for that and what would the cost to replace that be?

The second is another ipod classic (I believe it might be 7th generation but I’ll confirm). This one needs a new battery and also has the old spinning hard drive, so I wanted to know how much to swap the battery and also change the hard drive to a memory card (I can provide the memory card if you tell me what type). Would you be able to do this and if so, how much would it be?

Separately, do you have the ability to add an internal Bluetooth transmitter? I’ve read about mods online but not sure if guys are able to do it. Just curious.

    Thanks,
    Rob

I have a 5th Gen iPod Video that was originally a 30GB model but had been upgraded with a 240GB SSD or memory card. Its battery needs replacing — can you service the battery on a modded device? Thank you!
