Q. What are the payment methods you accept?

A. We use Paypal for most transactions as it is both reliable and secure. Your financial information will always remain safe as it should. As our online merchant Paypal accepts all major credit cards, debit card, eCheck, and Paypal account. We also accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover for walk in customers or payments via telephone.

*Please note, you do not need a Paypal account. Our account is set up to accept normal online credit card transactions through Paypal. For credit card transactions please click on the credit card logo on the left side of the Paypal payment page when you are directed to the Paypal payment screen when completing checkout.

Q. Where do I ship my iPod for repair?

For security during shipping we ask that you address all iPod shipments to Repair Sharks. Below you will find our shipping address and a link to our shipping document to include with your shipment. Please include name, address, email, and contact phone number so we may reach you.

Q. Do you offer Diagnosis or Troubleshooting?

A. Yes, we offer FREE Diagnosis Service. Please choose our Free Diagnosis Service from our Products Menu. Shipping to us is not included but we do offer a bubble-mailer option for a small fee. We will then send you a mailer to ship your iPod to Repair Sharks. Shipping back from Repair Sharks to you is Free. Once we receive your iPod we will email you a receipt confirmation and a diagnosis email containing a quote for repair. Once you authorize the repair and payment is completed we will perform the work. Diagnosis is performed 1-2 days after Repair Sharks receives your iPod.

Q. What if I don’t want to repair my iPod after Diagnosis?

A. We will ship it back to you or you can offer to sell it to us. We charge a nominal return fee of $14.95 on non-repaired iPods. See below for more information.

Q. Can you send a mailing envelope?

A. Our iPod Self-Mailer option offers the convenience of hassle free shipping to iPod repair facility. We will ship you the necessary packaging and return shipping bubble mailer to ship your iPod to us. Return postage to us is included with the mailer.

Although this is convenient it does slow down the repair process as you must wait for the envelope to arrive before shipping back to us.

Q. How do you Ship?

A. Shipping is done via USPS. Shipping from Repair Sharks to your doorstep is insured and free for all repairs. Shipping for parts is based on weight and generally inexpensive as the parts are small. Upon request we can return your iPod faster with upgraded shipping such as Priority or Express Mail for an additional shipping fee. You have until the repair is completed to request upgraded shipping otherwise we will ship insured First Class Mail free of charge with any repair.

Q. Do I need to pay for shipping to iPod Repair Sharks?

A. Shipping to Repair Sharks is not included. The customer is responsible for getting the item to us using whichever carrier they prefer. We recommend USPS as it is convenient. We also suggest using a well bubble padded envelope or small box with newspaper or bubble wrap to ship. You can also choose our self-mailer option from the Diagnostic Service or parts ordering pages. First Class insured return shipping is included with all repairs. If you need your iPod back faster let us know we can ship Priority and Express mail as well.

Q. Will you buy my broken iPod or iPhone?

A. YES, if you do not wish to repair your broken iPod when you send it in for repair or if you would like to sell a broken or used iPod please see our Sell us Your iPod section for details. We accept iPod's for purchase on an as-needed basis.

Q. How fast will I get my iPod back?

A. In most cases your iPod will be shipped back the next day after receipt via USPS First Class mail. Shipping generally takes 2-5 days and includes delivery on Saturday. If you request diagnostic service we will wait for your authorization for repair after receipt of our diagnostic email. When we receive the authorization for repair from you your iPod will be repaired, we will invoice your for payment, and once completed your iPod will be mailed back to you the next day. In some specialized cases repairs might be delayed. In such a case you will receive an email from us explaining any delay’s with repair. Average repair is 1-2 business days.

Q. How do you handle my iPod?

A. This is an important question and sometimes overlooked. We handle your iPod with the most delicate of hands as if it was our own. Our workmanship is our pride. Our trained staff will ensure complete satisfaction or we will fire them for you, just kidding. We also offer a 30-day warranty on all repairs to help give you peace of mind. See our Terms of Use.

Q. Will you share my personal information?

A. No, we do not share or disclose any personal information. Please see our Privacy Policy for more information.

Q. Will repairs made by iPod Repair Sharks void my warranty?

A. Repairs completed within the warranty period of your device will void your warranty in most cases. Please verify that you are outside your warranty coverage period or have damage that is not covered by your Apple warranty. Repair Sharks is not affiliated or associated with Apple Inc.. thereby any work that is performed by our repair center will void your warranty. Please verify that your warranty has expired or that your repair is not covered under Apple's warranty first.

Q. Do we repair Water Damaged iPods?

A. Yes, many of our repairs are due to water damaged iPods. Water can damage any part on the iPod from just a battery to the entire mainboard. Each repair is unique.

Q. Are you guys legitimate?

A. Absolutely, we have seen our fair share of scams, ripoffs, and businesses trying to make a quick buck. We are not one of them. We work hard and pride ourself in having honesty and integrity with our customer's. We have many happy return customer's and we appreciate every one of them. We have been in the iPod repair business since 2006. Our staff has authored many repair videos found on YouTube as well as a host of articles written regarding iPod repair throughout the web. Our technical staff is experienced with iPod, iPhone, Xbox 360, Computer, and Network repair. All of which help us to deliver a top-notch service to all our customers.

Q. Why do I need to fill out a shipping form?

A. For tracking purposes we ask that customers fill out a shipping form. We get many iPods delivered regularly and in order to keep accurate track of each individuals Apple iPod we ask that you fill out our form and include it with your shipment.

Q. Do you charge for an iPod that is sent in for diagnostics but not repaired?

A. We charge a return shipping and handling fee of $14.95 for diagnostics performed on iPods that do not result in a repair. This includes insured return shipping back to you as well as any time spent by our technician diagnosing your issue. If a repair is made with Repair Sharks our diagnostic services are Free and insured return shipping is always included in the price we quote.

Q. Will you restore my iPod?

A. Headphone Jack replacement, Battery replacement, LCD replacement, Front and Back plate replacement, Front Glass and Digitizer replacement does not require your iPod to be restored. Generally with Hard Drive and Mainboard replacements a restore is necessary. We always recommend that a backup is made of your data prior to sending in for repair if possible. If you keep all your data in iTunes it should already be stored in your iTunes folder on your Mac or PC. You can verify this by looking in your iTunes folder.

Q. Do you offer installation support on parts purchased?

A. If you purchased parts from us you may call us for installation questions if you should have any. You can also visit out blog for useful installation tips and advice on installation, repair, and general questions. Many of our batteries come with installation instructions. Our parts include opening tools for installation although you may need additional tools to complete some repairs. There are also videos available on youtube that may assist you in your repair. Parts repairs are completed at your own risk and we are not responsible for damage that may occur due to self repair.

Q. Do you have walk-in or drop off service available?

A. Yes, walk in service is available at our office location. Please call one either our local or Toll Free phone numbers during business hours to schedule an appointment. We can perform many repairs the same day and some while you wait.

Q. Do you ship Pre-paid mailers Internationally?

A. No, this service is currently unavailable. Due to customs regulations and for security of shipping your device to our location we recommend taking any devices that will be mailed internationally to your local postal service to fill out the simple customs forms. The form usually requires the shipping to and ship from address and a listing of the included device. We usually state "MP3 Player" on the customs forms and declare a value for insurance purposes.

A. Please see our Terms of Use page for a full explanation of all our policies. We offer a 30-day return policy on parts that are in resalable condition. For repairs we currently provide a 60-day Warranty on all parts that we install and labor that we perform.
